You agree to the following Terms and Conditions when you want your music to be played on ucr-radio.com (UnCommon Radio). When you send us your music, you license us to freely publish this music on our platform. By 'the music' is meant: your own unique and personally created music. After we receive the music from you, we'll play it on our platform for an indefinite period of time, or as for how long you agree to us playing it; according to the following rules:
We do not own your music. This means you are in control and you will stay in control. You retain all the rights to your music and your unique content at all times.
We play your music for promotional purposes, for you as an artist in the first place, but also for us in the promotion of our platform, and we expect the contents of the upload(s) of your songs to be an original work of yours, of which you are the legal owner or legally can represent the owner in case otherwise.
Please ensure again, when uploading, that the music you send to us is indeed yours and the content does not infringe on any rights owned by others. If a third party states a claim that the right to a particular piece of music you are sending to us, actually belongs to them, or you might be infringing on any rights at all for that matter, then you and you alone are responsible for any and all material and immaterial damages that may follow from this.
In short: you are, and remain, the one who stays legally responsible for the broadcasted music and therefore are also liable for all damages following a claim in the broadest sense, because on our platform you are and remain the legal owner of the music you provide and are therefore responsible.
In such a case of a third party stating a claim that the music you provided to us for broadcasting is actually theirs, we will contact you and inform you of the notice that we received and send you a copy of this notice, or a copy of any notice of any otherwise applicable grievances, pertaining to us having to remove one or more of your song(s). As a precaution we may remove a song and will not put the song(s) up again until the matter between you and this third party is fully resolved. We are ever so cautious though before taking such measures going as far as removing your song(s) and only will do so after careful consideration and a weighing of options. First and formemost we put our trust in you as being a unique artist and musician.
You are acknowledging to having read these Terms and Conditions and by confirming to having read these, before uploading your music to us, by ticking the checkbox, you agree to having taken complete notice, and fully consent to these Terms and Conditions.
It goes without saying that we won't play any provided content that blatantly offends or grieves other people, and has clearly got the intention to do so, specifically by targeting race, religion or otherwise. Also too explicit lyrics will be a grounds for removal or will have a consequence of not adding your uploaded song(s). We as a team ultimately make the decision to play your songs(s) (and we do listen to them!); there's no appeal possible if we don't, or won't play it (anymore). We are beings of reasonable mind though, and therefore usually broadminded and un-biased. We love real music, and we feel and are of the opinion that real music can and may also hurt a bit, so we're quite lenient.
And lastly, UCR will not charge you any amount of money for a promotion of your song or the playing of your song in a broadcast of UCR. All this is free and will remain so, and is meant for the benefit of you as well as us. Our promise: If we ever make the big bucks on this, then so will you!
Thank you for your patience reading this! ;-)
